PRX-T33 is a facial peel procedure based on trichloroacetic acid (TCA), designed as a skin bio-rejuvenator that does not damage the skin. Unlike a classic peel, it does not cause the visible shedding of the upper skin layer, which makes it an option with no obvious recovery period.
TCA is one of the most widely used peeling agents in professional aesthetics. In PRX-T33 it is applied by manual massage or spatula, in several passes per area, until palpable elasticity is felt in the skin. The treatment is non-invasive, delivers non-ablative chemical stimulation of the dermis without exfoliating the epidermis, and is not photosensitising, so it can be applied even during the sunniest months.
The main difference from a conventional TCA peel is that PRX-T33 does not cause visible flaking or a recovery period with reddened or shedding skin.
